2nd Annual Vip Professional Development Symposium

The Vallejo Irvine Program for Professional Development (VIP) is proud to host our 2nd annual VIP Professional Development Symposium on Wednesday, March 1st from 4:00 – 6:30 pm in the Student Center Grand Ballroom.

Sage B. Hobbs, host of “Race, Culture, & Beyond: A Naked Conversations Podcast Series” and author of Naked Communication, joins us to discuss “Communication for Connection.” With candor, humor, and practical wisdom, Sage Hobbs will discuss specific strategies and inspirational stories to better understand the subtleties of transformational, widely effective communication, showing you how to create meaningful connections through every conversation and make your communication an asset that sets you apart.

Kristin Swisher, communications instructor at the CU Boulder Leeds School of Business, will close out the event with a fun, interactive networking mixer. Practice your networking skills with other Mines students, staff, alumni and industry partners!

This event is open to ALL Mines students and staff. Beer, wine and appetizers will be available (ID’s required).
