Library Concert Series featuring Alex Jackson

Join us in the library on Friday, October 8 from 12- 1p for some live music. Alex Jackson will be performing alternative, folk and jazz.

New to the Concerts Series this year, Alex Jackson is an undergraduate Applied Math and Statistics major at Mines. Alex has 2 plants, 2 cats and plays 2 instruments. He is studying jazz bass with Moto Fukushima, co-leader of the genre-bending fusion group “House of Waters.” Then, he taught himself some ukulele tunes by Jake Shimabukuro. Alex has performed original music opening for nationally touring acts at the Bluebird and other venues in Colorado with his friends as “Halleway.” In his spare time, he likes to cook and spend time with his family
