Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Luncheon

A Friend to Lean On
Please join us on Tuesday, January 16, to honor and celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. Our community luncheon will be followed by keynote speaker, Reverend Dr. Dawn Riley Duval.

A Denver, Colorado native, Reverend Dawn Riley Duval is a social justice truth teller, a community organizer, a religious first responder, and is best known for her prophetic voice and community building as a leader in the Black Lives Matter movement. Rev. Dawn has a Master’s Degree in Print Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a Master’s in Divinity with an emphasis in social justice from Vanderbilt University, and she is completing a doctoral program at Chicago Theological Seminary.

Date: Tuesday, January 16, 2018
Time: Lunch will begin at 11:45 a.m., Martin Luther King, Jr. Recognition Awards ceremony and keynote speaker will begin at 12:15.
Location: Student Center, Grand Ballroom
