No Physics colloquium-consider attending the APS March meeting
March 3 @ 4:00 pm
The 2020 March Meeting of the American Physical Society is being held in Denver, March 2-6. The APS March Meeting represents one of the largest annual gatherings of physicists and provides a unique opportunity for the professional development of Mines physics students. As a sampling, it includes tutorials, career advice, networking opportunities, a grad school fair, and a large vendor exhibit of the state-of-the-art in equipment used in physics research. This is all in addition to invited symposium and contributed talks on a very broad range of physics topics. We are encouraging our students to attend some or all of the March Meeting throughout the week and are cancelling colloquium to make attendance easier. While there is a cost associated with registration, it’s pretty inexpensive for student members and many advisors will be willing to support attendance. You can learn more about the meeting at the website https://march.aps.org.
