Natural gas represents a growing share of global fossil fuel use. The energy transition will impact the natural gas prospects in various ways. This presentation will elaborate various aspects and their implications for the long term supply and demand outlook. Special emphasis will we put on green gas alternatives including biomethane and hydrogen.
Dolf Gielen is the director of the IRENA Innovation and Technology Centre (IITC) since 2011. He oversees the Agency’s work on energy transition scenarios and planning, technology competitiveness and innovation policy frameworks.
