Space Resources Roundtable and Planetary & Terrestrial Mining Sciences Symposium
June 12 - June 15$575
The Space Resources Roundtable, Inc. (SRR) and the Planetary & Terrestrial Mining Sciences Symposium (PTMSS) in collaboration with the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) and the Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI), will convene their ninth joint meeting on June 12-15, 2018 at the Colorado School of Mines, in Golden, Colorado.
This year there will be a workshop on the last day of the meeting to develop a plan for a prospecting campaign for ice at the lunar poles. The objective is to characterize the ice as an economic resource with distribution, concentration, quantity, disposition, depth, geotechnical properties and any other characteristics necessary to design and develop extraction and processing systems. The results of the workshop will be provided to space agencies and interested commercial companies as a joint recommendation of the SRR and the Lunar Exploration Analysis Group (LEAG).
