Using the Science of Team Science for Better Research Collaboration

August 13, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential for solving complex problems, yet many researchers are not explicitly taught how to collaborate effectively. Dr. Plaisance will provide an overview of some of the key features and practices of successful teams. Topics include

  •  the five aspects of a good team;
  •  the potential benefits of diversity (and how diverse perspectives can be leveraged);
  •  the importance of psychological safety; and
  •  the difference between productive and destructive conflict.

Presented by Dr. Kathryn Plaisance. Join the conversation on Zoom.
