VIP Professional Development Communications Series – Interpersonal Communication in the Workplace

Join the VIP Professional Development Program for a series of workshops to develop communication skills essential for success while transitioning into an internship or first professional position. Attend two or more sessions to be entered in a drawing for prizes.

Learn ways to improve and enhance your communication within the professional setting. We will practice skills in self-advocacy and boundary setting, healthy communication in the workplace, and communication under stress. Presented in partnership with the Counseling Center.

Presenter: Ami Ortiz, Clinical Intern, Counseling Center, Colorado School of Mines

Ami is currently attending the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work with the goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He earned a Bachelor in Psychology from Eckerd College. In addition, he is training his 9-month-old dog Chai to one day serve as a therapy canine.
