Faculty Presenter: Tracy Gardner, Chemical and Biological Engineering This session will provide an overview of both reasons to and ways to use online tools to enhance students' experiences in the classroom. Examples we will cover include screencast skeleton notes and publisher tools such as LearnSmart reading quizzes. We will also have a group discussion around moving Mines toward online assessments and how we can build on and buy into our ideas as a community.

During the 2017-2018 academic year, the Assessment Committee and the Trefny Center designed a new student survey that was sent out to all undergraduates at the end of the Spring 2018 semester. Megan Sanders, the Trefny Center’s Senior Assessment Associate, will review the questions included on the survey and describe initial findings. Snacks provided.
