The RTT Office is Co-Hosting a brainstorming workshop on Mines expertise in climate science research that will be led by Ryan Venturelli (GE), Brandon Dugan (GP), and Matt Siegfried (GP) September 8th from 12:00-4:00 PM. This workshop will seek to establish a multi-disciplinary collection of expertise at Mines relevant to climate science enabling future project teaming and collaboration. Workshop participants are sought in any climate science related area including, but not limited to, geology, hydrology, geobiology, geochemistry, geophysics, electrical engineering, drilling technology, remote sensing, data science and carbon cycling. The outcome of this workshop will be to identify collaborators, funding opportunities, potential for new education programs, and bring better visibility and resources to the growth in climate science work we do at Mines.
We hope to explore our strengths and opportunities including 2-minute lightning talks to learn about our cooperative interests and where synergies exist (schedule below).
The workshop will adjourn at 4:00 and then we’ll head to the reception in the Green Center space outside of Bunker. At 6:00 pm we’ll start the documentary viewing of The Lake at the Bottom of the World.
