This webinar presented by McAllister & Quinn will provide early career investigators insight into the breadth and depth of the federal funding landscape for early career opportunities, as well as an overview of the skills needed to be successful. We will review funding opportunities specific for early career investigators across a variety of federal agencies, including the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and the National Institutes of Health, and discuss best practices for developing and positioning your research concept for success

Topics to be covered include:

  • Overview of the major federal funding agencies, with detailed information on specific early career investigator opportunities within each agency
  • The similarities and differences between federal agency funding announcements
  • General and agency-specific best practices for PO engagement and grant preparation
  • Actionable next steps and resources
