Please join the Payne Institute for Public Policy at the Colorado School of Mines as we welcome Gagan Sidhu, Director, CEEW Centre for Energy Finance, presenting a virtual seminar titled Financing India’s Clean Energy Transition on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 9:00am – 10:00am (MT).
At COP 26 in Glasgow, India announced its intention to reach net-zero emissions by 2070. Nearer-term targets include achieving a 50% share of non-fossil based electricity generating capacity by 2030. Adequate flows of finance emerges as a key challenge on the road to achieving both the near-term as well as longer-term 2070 targets. Just how big is the challenge, and what are some potential solutions to overcome it?
