Calling all veterans and veteran allies at Mines–this is our featured fundraising and networking event for the school year–and students may enjoy a FREE event tailored for our active duty and student veterans on campus. This year, we have an incredible speaker from Space Resources–Dr. Angel Abbud-Madrid!

Heroes Dinner Details:

• Date and time: September 10^th 5:00pm-7:00pm
• Location: Friedhoff Hall | Green Center 909 15^th St, Golden, CO 80401
• Keynote Speaker: Dr Angel Abbud-Madrid President of the Space Resources Round Table
• Format: Semi-Formal Dinner with 30 minutes keynote speech followed by Mingling and Networking with industry representatives (so you can get ahead of the Career Day rush)

If you’re wondering about appropriate attire for the event, we’re thrilled to introduce our new Boots to Suits Program. By applying for this program, you’ll have the chance to receive professional attire that ensures you’re dressed confidently and appropriately for the occasion. We kindly request that if you apply for the Boots to Suits Program, you also make plans to join us at the dinner with your new business attire. Your presence will not only help us generate more corporate sponsorship for this initiative, but also for other programs that are dedicated to serving our veterans on campus.

It’s worth noting that company representatives seeking to hire veterans will be present at the Heroes Dinner. This presents an excellent opportunity to engage with the companies on the attendee list prior to the official career fair. By participating, you can bypass the lines and connect directly with representatives who understand the value of veteran talent.
