VIP Presents: Cross-Industry Communication: Lessons from Leading a City’s First Mixed Income Housing Development

February 28, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

It’s not easy to bring people from different industries together.  It’s even more challenging to get people with very different opinions—real estate developers, environmentalists, local residents, government officials, and engineers—to work together.  Meg O’Connell has first-hand experience uniting diverse stakeholders around a common project.  Learn how she’s led diverse teams to build the first mixed income housing units and a food hall for BIPOC entrepreneurs in a Syracuse, NY.  Meg will share her leadership philosophy, how she navigates conversations with people with different opinions, and how she inspires teams to keep moving forward.
